πŸŒˆπŸŒ™ πŸƒ v1.2.6 ~ Yarnpoint

πŸƒ Kind of a big announcement, this project is being renamed from synthona to YARNPOINT. It's not that synthona wasn't a good name or anything, but Yarnpoint is fun to say and, I think, better captures the spirit of the software. Yarn, standing in for the connections, and Point standing in for the points being connected!

If you had already downloaded an older version, back when this project was still called synthona, this will install as a separate application on your device. To transfer your data from synthona to yarnpoint, you will need to log into synthona, go to "options", and select the option to "export all user data". this will usually take a few minutes, and will run in the background. You can check if it is done exporting by either refreshing the page or browsing through your data while you wait. Once it's done exporting, you can take that file, copy it somewhere, onto your desktop for example, and then import that export into Yarnpoint. Once you expand that out in Yarnpoint, everything should work just like normal! You'll have all your data, just how you left it. No harm done, really. At that point you can uninstall synthona if you want, or keep it around, up to you!

So...yes! From now on this is Yarnpoint. Yarnpoint, Associative Notebook Software.

Apologies for any confusion this may cause, hopefully we won't need to make a jump like this again, although I do believe the export functionality makes it pretty trivial. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out on twitter or email.

In case you were wondering about the status of the remote login update, that is all still going well, but a lot of this is put on hold while I try to find a new job. There's still tons of potential here, we've barely scratched the surface of what this algorithm can do πŸƒ

πŸƒπŸŒ™ 🧢 Have a great day! πŸƒπŸŒ™ 🧢
